Dr. Xiangyi Cheng is an assistant professor of Mechanical Engineering at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, CA. She received her B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology, Beijing, China, in 2015, and her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A&M University, College Station, TX, in 2022. She was a faculty member in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ohio Northern University, OH, from 2022 to 2024. She joined Loyola Marymount University in August 2024. She enjoys teaching and exploring interactive teaching techniques. Her research interests include intelligent systems, robotics, augmented reality, human-computer interaction, and tangible games.
A fun fact about her: She drinks coffee every morning.
